NICOLAS NKOULOU SIGNS FOR WATFORD

Nkoulou has signed a one-year contract with Watford until the end of the 2021/22 season, which he hopes to extend.

Having signed for Watford as a free agent, the 31-year-old brings a wealth of local and international experience to the club, including a 2017 African Cup of Nations title victory.

As well as playing for the Indomitable Lions in two World Cups, he earned his first of more than 70 caps in 2008 when he was called up to play for the U-23 squad in Beijing during the Olympic Games.

When Nkoulou made his AS Monaco debut in September, it marked the beginning of a three-year stay in the principality for the striker.

The summer of 2017 saw him transfer to Torino from rival Ligue 1 power house Lyon, originally on loan, where he appeared in over 100 games.

After leaving the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino at the end of last season, Nkoulou was connected with a number of Premier League teams, but he has chosen to join the Hornets.
