Their Story - From the Groom

"I met my wife five years ago, and I keep up on thanking God for that day. I had just broken up with my girlfriend at the time for the most. According to my ex, the breakup was due to the fact that I was broke. Mind you, I was still in school at the time, and I had just started a cosmetics business venture. In my mind, I knew that my ex-girlfriend was definitely not the one for me.
I met my future wife on a lovely evening when she came into my shop to purchase cosmetic products. I was mesmerized by the short and sexy dark-skinned goddess I saw who was filled with so much confidence and charisma. We flirted for a while through our gazes and glances, but no one made a move just yet. In my mind, I knew I liked this girl but was worried that I had just gotten out of a relationship and wasn't sure if I was ready for another at the moment. After I made up my mind to take the leap of faith, I decided to ask her out on a date. Being the businessman I am, I joked that I was going to reduce the cost of her cosmetic products if she agreed to go out on a date with me.
From that encounter, Ateh and I became friends who supported each other tremendously. I visited her regularly in Buea, where she attended school, and she also visited me in Bamenda. We supported each other's dreams and aspirations. Throughout our time five years of knowing each other, we had various ups and downs, break-ups and make-ups and dated other people briefly, but at the back of our heads, we knew we were meant for each other.
During a recent trip to Dubai, while getting something from her at the mall, I realized that pledging my undying love to her was the greatest gift I could give her. I concluded that Ateh was everything I needed in my partner for life and more, and I pledged to do everything in my power to make her the happiest woman ever. Upon my return to Cameroon, I called Ateh into the room and told her how thankful I am to have met her and how she had changed my life with her good and kind heart.
With overwhelming spontaneity, I announced that we were getting married in two weeks with a set date and bam! I can truly say that I am happy! We live in a beautiful home, and all I can do is thank God for his everlasting grace. "
