CAMEROON FEMALE VOLLEY BALL NATIONAL TEAM WINS AFRICAN CHAMPIOSNHIP

Cameroon's national women's volleyball team earned the title of African champions for 2021 on Sunday after winning the Women's Africa Nations Championship against Kenya in the final match 3-1 in Kigali, Rwanda.

The Women's World Championship, which will be contested in Poland and the Netherlands in 2022, will include Cameroon and Kenya representing Africa as the teams representing each region.

it matches the records set by Egypt and Tunisia, who both previously held the record with three titles. Kenya achieved nine championship victories while holding onto their most wins.

After a long,34-year hiatus, Morocco finally took home a medal after they defeated Nigeria in the bronze medal match by 3 sets to zero (25-19, 25-17, 25-18).

The final day of the tournament was cut short due to a change in the FIVB schedule as a result of the ban against Rwanda because four Brazilians were found to be ineligible. Cameroon won the match against Nigeria, 3-0 (25-13, 35-33, 25-13), followed by Kenya against Morocco, 3-0 (25-12, 25-21, 25-11), and the match in the finals that pitted Cameroon against Kenya.
