Happy mother's day to my mummy "Yah Wo Kitav" .
----------------------------------------------------------------
I was born to a very comfortable home and well to do family but unfortunately for me, my father passed away when I was only 6years old. After that, EVERYTHING changed just like in the #Nigerian #movies . I had to change schools and basically adapt to a whole different life style, my hair was cut for the first time which left me very sad. I was a smart ass kid so I understood what death meant and I knew the feeling of loss which gave me a very hard time growing up cus my dad was the only human being I really connected to. My elder siblings were in boarding schools so I always felt lonely. I grew up a very sad kid and blamed every bad thing that happened to me on my dad not being alive to protect me. I even had a had a hard time connecting with my mother for a very long time up to my early 20's.

I gave up on life so many times but as my mum tried so hard to raise 3 kids, my cousins and nieces and nephews, I learned how to be strong and how to survive in any situation. She even suffered from a stroke which affected the right side of her body. She couldn't talk, walk, or even move. She was paralyzed and just lying there as everyone watched her hopelessly. She was sent home from the hospital cus her situation was only getting worse no matter what the doctors tried. We assumed the worse would happen so family was already making preparations. Miraculously she defeated death and rose from her sick bed and is the most active woman. She regained her speech and enjoys taking walks now. Her hands and body are so active it's hard to believe she was ever on a sick bed. She taught me never to give up, that's why I'm this strong, hopeful never ever giving up dream chasing gyal. I just want to say thank you mummy and I love you. I'm going to make you and Papa so proud.
